A two-person crew on site for two hours — four labor hours — finishes a standard clean of a small home or condo up to roughly 1,300 square feet: kitchen, one or two bathrooms, all floors, and surface dusting throughout. Three hours covers a typical three-bedroom, two-bath home of about 1,800 square feet with bedrooms and living areas detailed. Four hours covers a four-bedroom, three-bath home around 2,600 square feet, or a smaller home taken deeper. Below is what actually gets done in each block, room by room.

Two hours: the core of the house
Two hours is enough to do a whole small home properly, as long as it is at a normal baseline. We work the two rooms that carry the most visible weight first, then the floors, because floors are the last thing that should be touched.
- Kitchen — counters cleared and wiped, sink and faucet, stovetop, outside of the appliances, cabinet fronts spot-cleaned, trash out.
- Bathrooms — toilet, shower or tub, sink and counter, mirror, fixtures, floor.
- Living and dining — dusting reachable surfaces, sills, and baseboards; cushions straightened; visible clutter squared away.
- Bedrooms — beds made, nightstands and dressers dusted.
- Floors — vacuum throughout, mop all hard surfaces.
Three hours: the same, with detail
Three hours is the most common block for a three-bedroom home in Placentia — the single-story ranch tracts off Bradford and around Alta Vista are almost exactly this size. Everything in the two-hour list still happens; the extra hour goes into the parts that get skipped when time is short.
- A second and third bathroom done to the same standard, not rushed.
- Interior glass — patio sliders, mirrors, and the door glass that shows fingerprints.
- Baseboards and door frames wiped rather than dusted.
- Under and behind what moves — dining chairs, small furniture, the kitchen island stools.
- Bedrooms detailed: under the bed edges vacuumed, closet floors, ceiling fan blades within reach.
Four hours: a larger home, or a deeper one
Four hours goes one of two ways. On a four-bedroom two-story — the kind of home common up on Nohl Ranch and Serrano in Anaheim Hills, with three bathrooms and a full staircase — it buys a complete standard clean of a big footprint. Stairs alone are their own room; a carpeted flight takes real time to vacuum properly, and the railings and spindles have to be wiped by hand.
On a smaller home, the same four hours buys depth instead of square footage: inside the oven, the refrigerator on request, grout and backsplash detailed by hand, light fixtures and switch plates, reachable vents. That is the difference between covering a large home and resetting a small one.
Time on site is not the same as labor hours. A two-person crew for three hours is six hours of work — which is why one person cleaning the same house alone takes most of a Saturday.
What changes the math
The square footage on the listing is only a starting point. Four things move a home up or down a time block, and we ask about all of them before we quote.
- Bathrooms — the single biggest driver. A three-bedroom with three bathrooms takes longer than a four-bedroom with two.
- Condition — a home cleaned every other week stays near baseline. One that has gone three months needs a deep clean first, not a longer standard clean.
- Clutter — we clean around what is out. A cleared counter and a cleared floor can save 20 to 30 minutes across a house.
- Pets and stairs — shedding adds vacuum passes, and a second story adds a flight of stairs plus a full trip of equipment.
